Dr. Roy Fish won the hearts of the staff and students at the Harvest Institute. Known for his classroom humor and passion for telling others about Jesus Christ, Fish made an impact on the students and challenged them to always be aware that God can use anyone at anytime to rescue a lost soul from hell. The Harvest Institute is excited to announce a one-week Intensive with Dr. Emir Caner, current President of Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia, and former Dean of The College at Southwestern on the campus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He will be teaching Baptist Distinctives and History (Heritage) on a Monday - Friday 5:30 - 10:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 - 5:00 p.m. schedule. To read more about Dr. Caner, click here.
Along with the Harvest Institute,
Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church has another partner ministry called the Trinity
Hills Senior Assisted Living Center.
Located on the campus of the church, and a quarter mile from the campus
of HIBS, Trinity houses many seniors in a beautiful setting, and provides care,
meals, activities and many other things to give Seniors a great quality of
life. Weekly Bible studies and daily
devotions are also a part of the ministry, and Harvest Students can sign up to
speak at a morning devotion. If you
would like to hone your speaking skills and minister to Seniors at the same
time, you can contact Rev. David Collins, Minister to Senior Adults at
Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and Trinity Hills Chaplain, at
865-207-8903. Rev. Collins will be happy
to arrange a day for you to speak, either once or on a regular basis.
